Walker Hagan

Walker Hagan is a Scientist II at Hesperos Inc., leading the Neuromuscular Junction platform since December 2022, where responsibilities include managing client communications, conducting presentations, and performing data analysis, as well as authoring standard operating procedures, statements of work, and data reports. Prior to this role, Walker served as a PhD Candidate at the University of Florida from August 2017 to May 2022, focusing on pancreatic islet physiology from an engineering perspective and publishing research in prestigious journals such as Nature Metabolism and Science Advances. Walker also participated in the Bioengineering Senior Design Program at Clemson University, where design accomplishments included a novel wound closure device with a mock 510k application and effective collaboration with clinical partners for product validation. Walker holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Florida and a BS in Bioengineering with an Electrical Concentration from Clemson University.
