Michiel Wittink is a versatile violist currently performing with the Budapest Festival Orchestra and holding the position of Concert Programmer at Het Concertgebouw since July 2023. Additional affiliations include playing with the Felix Quartet, Nederlands Philharmonisch Orkest | Nederlands Kamerorkest, Het Balletorkest, Pynarello, Residentie Orkest, and Aurora Orchestra. Active in the Noord Nederlands Orkest since September 2017, Michiel combines a rich performance career with an academic background, having earned a Master of Performance in Viola from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Prior educational experiences include a Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Psychology from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a Bachelor of Music in Viola from Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Education began with a Gymnasium diploma focusing on Natuur + Techniek and Natuur + Gezondheid from Keizer Karel College.
