Dyann Heward-Mills

Dyann Heward-Mills is an accomplished professional in the fields of data protection and ethics, currently serving as an Ethics Expert for the European Commission since January 2020. As the Founder and CEO of HewardMills, established in March 2018, Dyann leads a diverse team that provides Data Protection Officer support to global companies, while also offering consultancy services. Previously, Dyann was a Partner at Baker McKenzie from October 2015 to February 2018, heading the Data Protection and Cyber Security practice group. Dyann's experience includes a role as Senior Privacy Counsel at GE Capital and as Senior Privacy & Communications Lawyer at Linklaters LLP, where Dyann managed a team and achieved significant milestones in data protection compliance. Dyann holds an LLM in Computer & Communications Law from Queen Mary & Westfield College, University of London.
