Jon Mease

Jon Mease has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Jon is currently working as a Visualization Engineer at Hex since October 2022. Before joining Hex, Jon founded a company called VegaFusion Technologies LLC in 2022, where they served as the Founder until it was acquired by Hex. Prior to that, they worked at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory as a Data Scientist and Software Developer from 2009 to 2022. Jon also worked at Plotly as the Chief Scientist from 2020 to 2021 and as an Open Source Maintainer for plotly.py from 2018 to 2020. Jon was an Open Source Developer at Anaconda, Inc. from 2019 to 2020. Jon started their career as a Research Assistant at Millersville University of Pennsylvania and also participated in the WVNano REU Program at West Virginia University.

Jon Mease attended Millersville University of Pennsylvania from 2004 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Physics and Mathematics. Jon then pursued further education at The Johns Hopkins University from 2010 to 2012 and earned a Master of Science degree in Computer Science.
