Luis López Fernández

Luis López Fernández is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and computer vision. Currently serving as the Generative AI Lead and Technical Project Manager at Hexagon AB since July 2020, Luis also holds the position of postdoctoral researcher and consultant at the Tidop Research Group at Universidad de Salamanca. Previously, Luis worked at the Centro Tecnológico de la Automoción de Galicia as a SCRUM Master and Computer Vision Engineer, and at Ingeniería INSITU as an R&D Project Manager. Luis has a robust academic background with a PhD in Geotechnologies applied to Construction, Energy, and Industry, complemented by a Master’s degree in Cartographic Geotechnologies, and various certificates in application development from C.I.F.P. de Avilés. Luis began professional studies at Universidad de Oviedo, earning a degree as a Surveying Engineer.
