Amandeep Gakhal

Amandeep Gakhal is a seasoned expert in antibody discovery and protein engineering, currently serving as Senior Director for ADC & Cell Biology at Hexagon Bio since July 2024. Previously, Amandeep held various leadership roles at Sutro Biopharma, Inc. from June 2013 to June 2024, including Senior Director of Discovery Biologics and Associate Director of Protein Engineering, leading teams in antibody discovery and protein engineering for advanced therapeutic candidates. Amandeep's research experience includes significant roles at the University of Toronto, Celldex Therapeutics, and The Scripps Research Institute, culminating in a PhD in Immunology and Virology. Amandeep has contributed to multiple intellectual property assets and developed innovative techniques in synthetic antibody libraries and therapeutic applications.
