Julius Genachowski currently serves as a Board Member at Mattel, Inc. and holds the position of Senior Advisor at The Carlyle Group since January 2014. Julius is also the Chair of the Board of Directors and a member of the Board at Sonos, Inc., and a member of the Board of Directors at Mastercard. Previously, Genachowski was a member of the Board of Directors at Sprint until April 2020, and served as a Visiting Professor and Scholar at Harvard Law & Business Schools from August 2013 to June 2014. Julius was the Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission from June 2009 to May 2013, and worked as a Special Advisor at General Atlantic from 2007 to 2009. Genachowski's earlier career included roles as Chief of Business Operations and General Counsel at IAC and law clerk experience at the Supreme Court of the United States. Genachowski earned a Doctor of Law (JD) from Harvard Law School and a Bachelor's degree in History from Columbia College, Columbia University.
