Matthew Bates

Matthew Bates has a diverse and extensive work experience in marketing communications and public relations. Their current position is Director of Marketing Communications at Hexcel Corporation. Before that, they served as Director of Marketing Communications at L3Harris Technologies for four years. Prior to L3Harris Technologies, Matthew worked at Pratt & Whitney, where they held various roles, including Associate Director of Media Relations and Associate Director of Communications for Military Engines. Matthew also has experience as a Communications Manager at BAE Systems and served in the United States Air Force, holding positions such as Deputy Director of National Media Outreach and Deputy Chief of Public Affairs. Overall, Matthew has demonstrated expertise in media relations, strategic communications, crisis response, and relationship building.

Matthew Bates graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Politics from Brigham Young University in 2001. Matthew then went on to complete a Master of Liberal Arts degree in General Management at Harvard University from 2009 to 2014.
