Robert Yancey has an extensive work experience spanning several decades. Robert started their career at ARACOR in 1988 as the Dayton Operations Manager, where they focused on business development for X-ray nondestructive evaluation products and secured funding of over $5 million. In 1999, they joined Altair Engineering as the Managing Director for the Ohio Valley region and achieved remarkable success, including being the top US Account Manager in 2001 and achieving revenue growth of over 600%. Robert later became the Senior Director for Global Aerospace, Marine & Energy, where they grew the aerospace and marine revenue by over 100% and established the Aerospace business in the Asia Pacific region.

Yancey then joined Edison Welding Institute in 2003 as a Technology Leader, managing a team of specialized engineers and successfully growing revenues by 50% while maintaining high profitability. In 2013, they returned to Altair as the VP for Aerospace and Composites, achieving significant growth in global aerospace revenue and establishing strategic relationships with key customers.

In 2017, Yancey joined Autodesk as the Director of Manufacturing Strategy and Business Development, responsible for defining the business and industry strategy for manufacturing production solutions. Lastly, in 2019, they served as the Principal at Compforte before joining Hexcel Corporation as the Business Development Director, focusing on developing new business opportunities for advanced composites manufacturing.

Throughout their career, Yancey has consistently demonstrated their ability to drive revenue growth, establish strategic partnerships, and lead teams to success in the aerospace, manufacturing, and composites industries.

Robert Yancey earned a Ph.D. in Materials Engineering from the University of Dayton in 1996. Prior to that, they pursued an M.S. in Engineering Mechanics at Virginia Tech from 1987 to 1988. Robert'sundergraduate studies were conducted at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1981 to 1986, where they obtained a B.S. in Aeronautics and Astronautics.
