Dima Khort

Dima Khort has had a varied work experience. In 2014, they were an intern at KPMG, UNIQA, and EVN AG. From 2015 to 2018, they worked as a Backend Engineer at Swiss Financial Services, where they led a team of 4 engineers and conducted project planning. In 2018, they worked as a Backend Engineer at EVRY, where they developed a REST API using NestJS/Node. js with enterprise ITSM System Integration (ServiceNow), designed SQL database architecture and project infrastructure with UML, implemented message queue (RabbitMQ) for running remote scripts in Azure AD, and developed an authentication system using JWT and oAuth2. In 2019, they worked as a Backend Engineer/IoT Firmware Engineer at Global Talent, where they developed a multi-threaded async business-logic application for Ubuntu Core OS written in Java, developed an OTA update service for the smarthome hub in Go, managed GCP IoT core service, Pub-Sub topics, Firebase DB, and Postgres DB instances, implemented communication with IoT Zigbee Devices, developed cloud functions running on Google Cloud Platform using Node. js and NoSql DB, and added integration with RuleEngine for home automation. Currently, they are the CTO of HeyCharge.

Dima Khort obtained a Master's degree with honors in Software Engineering from the National Technical University of Ukraine 'Kyiv Polytechnic Institute' in 2019. Prior to that, they attended WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business) from 2013 to 2014, where they pursued a Non-degree in Business Administration and Management in CEE. From 2010 to 2014, they attended Kyiv National Economics University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in International Economics and Management.
