Software Architect at Semble

Thomas Allen has a diverse range of work experience, starting from 2007. Thomas worked as a Communications Assistant at International Resources Group from September 2007 to August 2009. Following this, they worked as a Digital Media Supervisor at Klaremont from March 2011 to November 2011. Thomas then worked as a Freelance Web Developer & Researcher at Urchin Media from January 2012 to April 2013, where they created websites using Drupal and WordPress and conducted market research and analysis for healthcare companies. Thomas then had a role as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at SOAS, University of London from January 2014 to June 2014, and later became a Senior Teaching Fellow at the same institution, working from September 2015 to June 2016.

In 2013, Thomas started working as a Digital Media Technician at Goldsmiths, University of London, where they built websites and applications using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Thomas also worked closely with students, helping them to complete artworks by assessment deadlines and teaching Adobe CC. Thomas then joined PatSnap in February 2017 as a Web Developer, working on the development of fullstack web applications using JavaScript and Node.js, and conducting web analytics and A/B testing for marketing. In July 2018, Thomas started working at Semble as a Developer, engaging in fullstack web development with TypeScript, Node.js, MongoDB, and React.

Thomas Allen has an extensive education history. Thomas obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Media & Film Studies from SOAS University of London, where they studied from 2013 to 2016. Prior to that, they completed a Master's Degree in Global Media & Postnational Communication at the same university, from 2009 to 2010. In 2008 to 2009, Thomas earned a Certificate in Web Design from the Corcoran School of the Arts and Design at The George Washington University.

Before their higher education, Thomas attended Maret School from 1987 to 2000, where they completed their High School education. In 2000, they graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science.

In addition to their formal education, Thomas also holds various certifications. Thomas obtained certifications in Applied Data Science with Python Specialization, Applied Plotting, Charting & Data Representation in Python, and Introduction to Data Science in Python from Coursera in 2018, while their Inbound Certification was obtained from HubSpot in 2017.
