Steven Thornton

Steven Thornton is an experienced engineer with a diverse background in project management and applications engineering. Currently serving as a Project Engineer at Heyl Patterson Thermal Processing since October 2022, Steven previously worked as an Applications Engineer and Project Manager at Ingersoll Rand, focusing on engineer-to-order liquid ring vacuum pumps and compressors. Prior experience includes roles at Nash, where Steven worked in the engineer-to-order group for liquid ring pumps and vacuum boosters, and extensive project management experience at TBI Contracting, Inc., overseeing multiple projects with budgets ranging from $200,000 to $5 million. Steven began a career in masonry as a laborer at RSD Masonry before pursuing advanced studies. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry with a Bioscience option from the University of Pittsburgh.
