Emily Ferguson

Emily joined their team in 2019 and is based in the San Francisco office. As an Associate, she is involved in the execution of searches and places top talent in a variety of industries, including financial services, healthcare, technology, and academia. Prior to joining Heyman Associates, Emily spent time at a generalist search firm as a critical member of the research team. There, she worked with clients across industries to fill leadership roles.

Emily has a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Mount Saint Mary’s University. Before her foray into executive search, Emily worked as a political strategist, first as a campaign canvasser and later in field strategy and campaign management. After exploring executive search, Emily was attracted to Heyman Associates from a desire to become an expert in one vertical: communications, a passion that stems from her interests in language and human interaction.

Outside of the office, Emily loves to spend time with friends and entertains at her home near Ocean Beach. She prioritizes health and wellness and tries to read one book a week. Raised by a psychologist and a social worker, Emily has a keen interest in the emotional and psychological processes involved in search and aims to support her candidates in a holistic way.
