Adi Rao

Adi Rao is a Founding Partner and Engineering Lead at HFDC since March 2020. Previously, Adi served as Product Lead at Shaper from April 2017 to November 2024, leading web products including Shaper Studio, Trace, and ShaperHub. Adi has also held positions as a Senior Product Design Engineer at Shaper Origin and as a Product Design Engineer at Apple from July 2014 to April 2017. Adi's early career included mentoring graduate design teams as a ME310 Course Assistant at Stanford University and completing internships at Apple and Robert Bosch. Adi earned a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (Design) from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design & Manufacturing.
