Davey Hunt

Davey Hunt has had a diverse range of work experiences. Davey is currently working as a Senior Design Engineer at Hgen since 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Sr. Design Engineer at Heliogen from 2021 to 2022. Davey also worked for Space Exploration Technologies for a significant period, starting as a Summer Intern in 2011 and later becoming a Senior Propulsion Engineer from 2012 to 2021. Davey also pursued personal projects, including designing and constructing a pulse jet engine from 2010 to 2010. Additionally, they gained experience as a Summer Intern at Orbital Sciences in 2010, where they analyzed simulations and developed telemetry code. In 2008 and 2009, Davey was part of the MIT Design/Build/Fly Team at the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, where they assisted in analyzing and choosing the airfoil of an aircraft and used SolidWorks for modeling and fabrication.

Davey Hunt attended Heard County Comprehensive High School from 2004 to 2008, but did not obtain a degree or pursue a field of study at this institution. Following their completion of high school, they enrolled at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from 2008 to 2012. During this time, Davey pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering.
