Greg Hughes

Greg has more than 20 years of experience as a technology industry executive and consultant. Currently, Greg serves as CEO of Veritas Technologies, a leader in multi-cloud data management. Prior to Veritas, Greg was the President and CEO of Serena Software, which was acquired by HGGC in 2014, where he led the successful turnaround and sale to Micro Focus International Plc for $540 million. Greg joined Serena from Silver Lake Partners, a large cap technology investment firm, where he was an Operating Partner. He came to Silver Lake from Symantec where he served in a variety of senior executive positions, most recently as President of the $4 Billion Enterprise Product Group. Previously, Greg was a Partner at McKinsey & Company where he founded and led the Software Practice. Greg has been a director of a number of public and privately held companies, including LogMeIn, Art Technology Group, and Serena Software.
