David Ragan, PE has over a decade of experience in the field of bridge engineering. David is currently serving as a Senior Lead Bridge Engineer at Hardesty & Hanover, LLC since September 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Project Manager and Structural Engineer at RK&K from 2015 to October 2022. At RK&K, they were responsible for designing various types of bridges, culverts, and retaining structures. Before joining RK&K, David worked as a Bridge Designer at HNTB from 2012 to 2015, where they focused on the design of highway and rail structures. David also gained experience as a Bridge Designer and Inspector at Alpha & Omega Group from 2011 to 2012. David started their career as a Research Assistant at the Constructed Facilities Lab from 2009 to 2011. David Ragan, PE graduated from North Carolina State University in 2011 with a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Structural Engineering and Mechanics. In addition to their education, they have obtained certifications including the UAS Remote Pilot - Airmen Certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration in June 2019. David also holds the NBIS Bridge Inspector certification from FHWA / NHI. David Ragan is also a Professional Engineer, as certified by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors.
