Laina Bush

Laina Bush currently serves as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Science and Data Policy at the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation, HHS, a position held since December 2016. With a longstanding career at the US Department of Health & Human Services since September 1998, Laina has held various roles, including Associate Deputy Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation, Director of Science Policy, and Policy Analyst. Prior experience includes serving as an Economist at the FDA from September 1987 to September 1998. Laina holds an MBA from Marymount University and a BA in Economics and Business Administration from Vanderbilt University, completed in 1985.
