Lanlan Xu is a Public Health Advisor at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services since August 2022 and serves as the Lead for the Regional Network in Region 3 for the White House Initiative on Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders since October 2022. Previously, Lanlan Xu worked as a Social Science Research Analyst at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services from April 2020 to August 2022 and held the position of Policy Advisor- Detail for the White House Initiative on Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders from October 2021 to May 2022. Prior experience includes a role as a Senior Research Associate at IMPAQ International from July 2014 to April 2020 and as a Research Associate. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Public Affairs with a focus on Policy Analysis and Public Finance and a Master of Public Administration from Indiana University Bloomington, alongside a Ph.D. in German Studies from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Science in German Language and Literature from Peking University.
