Tom Bowman, MS, CEM, serves as a Public Health Advisor at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) since September 2014, where responsibilities include managing and coordinating public health activities during emergencies as the Agency Representative for the Incident Management Team. Previously, Tom held the position of Regional Administrator for the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR) in Region IV, overseeing emergency coordination and medical countermeasure programs across eight southeastern states. Prior experience includes roles at the CDC's Division of State and Local Readiness and HHS/ASPR, as well as being an Emergency Coordinator at FEMA. Tom earned a Master's degree in Emergency Management from Jacksonville State University between 2006 and 2009.
