Mohamed AlSayyad, MD, FACS, FASMBS, FIBC, FICS, is a highly experienced surgeon with a diverse career spanning multiple roles. Currently serving as a Surgeon at Shape Clinic and Co-Founder of DR MAS CLINIC, both since March 2019, as well as a University Lecturer at Lebanese International University since 2014. Prior experience includes working as a General Surgeon specializing in advanced laparoscopic and bariatric procedures at Hammoud Hospital University Medical Center from 2013, alongside leadership as CEO of FamilyClinic since 2011. Mohamed's education includes a Postgraduate Diploma in Obesity and Weight Management from the University of South Wales and a Master's degree in Hospitality Administration/Management from Islamic University of Lebanon, as well as multiple medical diplomas and degrees from prominent institutions, including Beirut Arab University.

Our 325-bed medical center, located in Saida, Lebanon, offers sophisticated diagnostic and therapeutic care in virtually every specialty of medicine and surgery. In 1966, Dr. Ghassan Hammoud a German trained Surgeon, Obstetrician & Gynecologist; established Hammoud Hospital in his native city of Saida, the third largest city in Lebanon located 40 km (29 miles) south of the capital Beirut. The hospital began as a 20-bed maternity facility. During the 1970s, the Hospital grew to a 100 patient bed multidisciplinary hospital, with more operating theaters as well as Laboratory Medicine and Radiology departments. The hospital continued to provide high quality medical care throughout the 1980s during the Lebanese Civil War. During the late 1990s, the hospital acquired more advanced medical technologies, expanded and diversified its medical departments to include a Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery Department. The hospital is extremely proud to have performed the first cardiac transplant operation in the Arab Middle East in 1999. The hospital is currently a 325-bed facility that treats more than 24,000 patients/year and performs more than 10,000 surgeries/year. The hospital has one of the biggest Nephrology and Dialysis departments and performs the highest numbers of renal transplants in the country. HHUMC also has one of the largest Intensive Care Units in Lebanon.
