Tim Bussiek is the founder and CEO of Hi-flier. Prior to Hi-flier, Tim was the VP of Marketing at Saama Technologies, Inc. from July 2014 to November 2016. Tim was part of the team that raised and implemented the first outside capital of $35M for Saama Technologies. Tim also pivoted the company from a services and tools company to a portfolio of vertical business outcomes. Tim built the marketing team that drove demand, brand & positioning with Sales and Marketing Plays (SMPs) across channels for maximum cohesion and target penetration. As a result of Tim's efforts, Saama Technologies had 7-digit sales impact and reduced sales cycle times.
In addition to their work at Saama Technologies, Tim was also responsible for invigorating the (Gartner) Real-Time Architectures for Insights / (Forrester) Insight-Driven Business category shaping the next 3 years of Big Data success. Tim collaborated with key Forrester analysts to show customer reality for Insight-Driven Business, with Saama ROI > 400% and payback < 6 months.
Lastly, Tim served as chief evangelist and sales enabler, key interface to Distinguished Advisor program and Board. Tim created the hugely successful “Intuition” leadership conference, which has been translated into an ongoing engagement platform across customer, partner and investor audiences.
Tim Bussiek attended Babson College for an executive education program in economics. Tim then went on to The University of Freiburg to earn their PhD in economics and information systems. After that, they studied learning - didactics - motivation at Paedagogische Hochschule Freiburg. Finally, they completed their Master's degree in economics at The University of Freiburg. Tim Bussiek also has two certifications from Pragmatic Marketing in Effective Product Marketing and Practical Product Management.
