Darren Sheelan

Darren Sheelan is a highly experienced supply chain and engineering professional with a strong background in project management and product development. Currently serving as Supply Chain Project Manager at Hiab since August 2017, Darren has previously held roles including Supplier Development Engineer and R&D Engineer, contributing to the development of a fully electric truck-mounted forklift. Prior to Hiab, Darren worked at OpenHydro from December 2011 to August 2017, where significant contributions included establishing a manufacturing process for 16m tidal turbines and assisting in the design of renewable energy solutions. Additional experience includes roles as an Assistant Lecturer at Dublin Institute of Technology and a Design Engineer at CDE Ireland Limited, alongside early training in toolmaking at G&M Precision. Darren holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Institute of Technology, Sligo, along with an Advanced Certificate in Toolmaking.
