Katie Barr

Katie Barr, MA, CFRE, is the Director of Major Gifts (Northeast) at HIAS, where they focus on advancing humanitarian impact through philanthropy. With over seven years of experience in nonprofit and development settings, Katie has a proven track record of partnering with donors to create meaningful change. They have previously held positions at various institutions, including the American Committee for the Weizmann Institute of Science and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where they contributed to leadership annual giving and program support. Education-wise, Katie is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Sociology with concentrations in Nonprofit Management and Immigration Studies at Lehigh University, where they also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies and German.
