Marlon Richert has a diverse background in software engineering and UX design. Marlon has experience working with various technologies and platforms. Starting with their most recent role at Hibox Systems Oy as a UX Design Engineer, Marlon was responsible for designing and developing a multi-platform design system, implementing web and mobile apps, and improving the accuracy of estimates and developers' workload. Prior to that, they worked at Vaadin as a UX Designer where they designed and developed highly-interactive web apps and performed user research and agile coaching. Marlon also has experience as a Software Engineer at ATR Soft, R&D Software Engineer at Comptel, Software Developer at Treparel Information Solutions, and Software Designer at Technolution. Additionally, they started their career as a Database Developer at Phidias Development Solutions and volunteered as a Web Developer at Digischool during their time in secondary school.
Marlon Richert obtained their High School Diploma from Dalton Voorburg in 1997. Marlon then pursued their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science & Engineering with a specialization in Media & Knowledge Engineering at Delft University of Technology from 1997 to 2004. In 2004, Marlon also attended Leiden University for a Minor degree in Cognitive Psychology. Continuing their education, they obtained a Master of Science (Technology) in Computer Science & Engineering with a focus on Human-Computer Interaction from Delft University of Technology from 2004 to 2007.
Marlon Richert has an additional certification as a Certified Scrum Master, which they obtained from the Scrum Alliance in April 2016.
