Julian Barbosa

Julian Barbosa has a diverse work experience in the media and broadcasting industry. Julian started as an On Air Personality at Rogers Communications in 2013 before moving on to work as a Show Runner for INSIDE THE NBA at Turner Sports. In 2015, Barbosa worked as a Broadcaster at York University before becoming a Broadcast Intern at Global News in 2016. Julian then joined Rogers Communications again in 2017 as a Broadcast Associate. From 2013 to 2020, Barbosa worked at Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Partnership (MLSE) as a Social Media Manager. In 2020, they became a Freelance Social Media Content Creator for Manchester United, where they were responsible for creating and promoting content on social media platforms. Currently, they are working as a Social Media Producer for BBC Sport, starting in 2023. Throughout their career, Barbosa has demonstrated skills in content creation, social media strategy, customer engagement, data analysis, and collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders.

Julian Barbosa obtained a Bachelor's degree in Tv/Radio Broadcast Journalism, and New Media from Ryerson University between 2009 and 2013. Subsequently, from 2014 to 2016, they pursued a Diploma in Broadcast TV and Radio, New Media, and arts at the College of Sports Media. Prior to these higher education experiences, they earned their High School Diploma from Rick Hansen Secondary School between 2004 and 2008.
