Hans-Juergen Pirch

Hans-Juergen Pirch has extensive work experience in the field of engineering, particularly in hardware development and RF interface technologies. Hans-Juergen started their career as a Hardware Engineer at ACG Identification Technologies in 2005, where they were responsible for RFID system design and ISO standardization. In 2007, they joined ASSA ABLOY ITG as a Development Engineer before moving to HID Global in 2008, where they held the positions of Hardware Teamleader, Principal Engineer, and Senior Principal Engineer. At HID Global, they played a crucial role in researching new technologies, leading engineering projects, developing new platforms, and contributing to RFID standardization. In 2019, they joined FiRa Consortium as a member of the Technical Working Group/Task Group Physical Access. Since January 2019, Hans-Juergen Pirch has been the Engineering Director of Global Hardware Platforms at HID Global.

Hans-Juergen Pirch holds a Dipl. Ing. degree in Computer Science from Hochschule Mittweida. Hans-Juergen also has an Ing. degree in Telecommunications Engineering from HTBL u VA Graz (BULME). In terms of additional certifications, they obtained a certification in Organizational Analysis from Coursera in 2021 and a certification in Cryptography I in 2018. Hans-Juergen also holds a Project Management Certification (Level D) from pma - Projekt Management Austria.
