Chris Foster

Game Director at Hidden Door

Chris Foster has over 28 years of experience in the gaming industry. Chris began their career in 1992 as a Game Designer/Producer at Impressions Games. In 1997, they joined Turbine as a Lead Designer and was the Creative Director for the studio's first MMO expansion pack. In 2006, they became a Senior Designer at Harmonix Music Systems and later took over management of the design department as Design Director. In 2014, they founded Foster and Family Games, developing arcade games for tablet and mobile. In 2017, they joined Fire Hose Games as a Designer, exploring new product categories and programming multiple fail-fast prototypes in Unity. In 2018, they became a Startup Mentor for MassChallenge and a Designer/Programmer for Liteboxer and ToneStone. In 2019, they joined Hidden Door as a Game Director. Chris has also been an Adjunct Professor/Part-time Lecturer at Northeastern University since 2015.

Chris Foster attended Wesleyan University from 1988 to 1992, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Film Studies.
