Hidden Villa is a nonprofit educational organization that uses its organic farm, wilderness, and community to teach and provide opportunities to learn about the environment and social justice.  Hidden Villa is an outdoor refuge in the foothills of the Santa Cruz mountains. Spanning 1,600 acres, Hidden Villa is home to an organic, sustainable farm, gardens, beautiful trails, and animals such as cows, pigs, chickens and goats. We also have several historic buildings on-site, including an 1860s-era barn and blacksmith forge, a hostel that was constructed in 1937 and several buildings that demonstrate environmentally sustainable designs. In 2024, we will celebrate Hidden Villa’s 100-year anniversary.

The Animal Care and Management team at Hidden Villa is responsible for the daily care, feeding, and health management of the farm's diverse animal residents, including cows, pigs, chickens, and goats. They educate visitors on sustainable animal husbandry practices and promote animal welfare, all while supporting the nonprofit's mission of environmental and social justice through hands-on learning experiences.
