Hidden Villa is a nonprofit educational organization that uses its organic farm, wilderness, and community to teach and provide opportunities to learn about the environment and social justice.  Hidden Villa is an outdoor refuge in the foothills of the Santa Cruz mountains. Spanning 1,600 acres, Hidden Villa is home to an organic, sustainable farm, gardens, beautiful trails, and animals such as cows, pigs, chickens and goats. We also have several historic buildings on-site, including an 1860s-era barn and blacksmith forge, a hostel that was constructed in 1937 and several buildings that demonstrate environmentally sustainable designs. In 2024, we will celebrate Hidden Villa’s 100-year anniversary.

The Outdoor and Environmental Education Team at Hidden Villa is dedicated to fostering a connection between participants and the natural world through experiential learning. They lead programs that engage visitors in hands-on activities focusing on sustainability, wildlife, and farming practices, while teaching vital concepts around environmental stewardship and social justice. Through guided explorations and educational workshops, team members inspire a sense of wonder and responsibility towards the environment.
