Dipen Desai

Dipen Desai has a diverse work experience and has held various roles in different companies. Dipen started their career as a Graphic Design Intern at J. Walter Thompson Worldwide in 2001. Dipen then worked as a Correspondent and Photographer at Hammer Publishers Pvt. Ltd. in 2002. At Clea PR, they worked as a Visualiser, where they were responsible for concept development, design execution, and vendor development. Dipen also worked as a Graphic Designer at Freedom Tree Design, where they gained experience in research, brochure design, and styling.

In 2004, Dipen joined the National Institute of Design as a Graphic Designer for a project. Dipen then interned at Tata International Limited as a Product Design Intern in the footwear department, focusing on research, design, and pattern development. Dipen later interned at Rathore as a Product Design Intern.

From 2006 to 2018, Dipen worked at Hidesign, starting as a Product Design Intern and eventually becoming the Director of Marketing. Dipen'sresponsibilities included overseeing marketing activities, creating marketing budgets, negotiating deals, planning and launching campaigns, and managing teams. Dipen also worked on increasing cohesion in product development and brand communication.

In 2016, Dipen joined the National Institute of Design as a Visiting Faculty.

Dipen'smost recent work experience is as a Member of The Supervisory Board at IFLDP-DPIIT since 2023.

Dipen Desai obtained a BFA degree in Applied Arts from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda from 1998 to 2002. Later, from 2004 to 2007, they pursued a PGDPD degree in Lifestyle Accessory Design from the National Institute of Design.
