Bernd Gunther

Bernd Gunther has extensive work experience in the maritime industry. Bernd is currently the Operations Director at Hidrovias do Brasil as of November 2022. Prior to this role, they worked at Terminales Portuarias S.A. from 2012 to 2022, starting as a Human Resources Manager for a year before becoming an Operations Manager. From 2005 to 2010, they held various positions at Terminales Portuarias S.A., including Operations Manager and Quay and Warehouse Supervisor. Before that, they worked as a General Coordinator at REPREMAR Group of Companies in 2005. In 2004, they were an Import Coordinator at ZIM Integrated Shipping Services.

Bernd Gunther's education history includes a Professional Certificate in Applied Corporate Finance from the University of Cambridge in 2022. Bernd obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Maritime Affairs specialized in Port Management from the World Maritime University in 2011. Prior to that, in 2009, Bernd completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus on Business Administration and Management from Universidad Columbia Paraguay. Bernd also received a High School Diploma from Appleton West High School in 2003 and a High School Diploma with a concentration in Humanities/Humanistic Studies from Goethe Schule Asunción from 1988 to 2003. In addition to their formal education, Bernd has obtained various certifications, including "Sprint Planning for Faster Agile Team Delivery" and "Applied Scrum for Agile Project Management" from the University of Maryland, as well as "Financial Accounting and Capital Markets" and "Building Stakeholder Value" from the University of Cambridge. Bernd also holds certification in "Wirtschaftsdeutsch" from the Paraguay-Germany Commerce Chamber, "Advanced English 10B" from Stael Ruffinelli de Ortíz, and "Agente de Transporte" from the Dirección Nacional de Aduanas in Paraguay. Finally, they have an "IICL Inspection Certificate" from the IICL.
