Tig Moore

Tig Moore is a Machine Learning Engineer at Hifi since October 2025, with a strong background in computational neuroscience and machine learning. Prior to this role, Tig completed a PhD at the University of Calgary, along with a NeuroAI internship at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, where research focused on the interplay between deep learning and visual processing in both biological and artificial neural networks. Key contributions include developing a feature extraction pipeline for video transformer models, processing high-dimensional neural recordings, and collaborating in research discussions. Tig also served as a Teaching Assistant at The University of British Columbia, teaching physics labs and leading supplementary learning initiatives. Tig holds a Master of Science in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from The University of British Columbia.
