Carolyn U. has a diverse work experience spanning over 30 years. Carolyn began their career as a Network and Systems Administrator for Trident Data Systems from 1991 to 1996. Carolyn then worked as a Sr. UNIX System Administrator for MCI Corporation from 1996 to 1998, and subsequently for AOL from 1998 to 2003.

In 2012, Carolyn joined Stay at Home Senior Care as a Certified Nursing Assistant for a brief period of three months. Later that year, they started their clinical experience as a Student RN, which lasted until 2014.

Carolyn's nursing career started in 2014 when they joined Duke Raleigh Hospital as a Clinical Nurse I. Carolyn provided pre/post-operative patient management and care for various surgical patients. In 2015, they were promoted to a Clinical Nurse II, where they continued to deliver high-quality care and coordinate patient management. During their time at Duke Raleigh Hospital, Carolyn also served as a preceptor for new registered nurses.

In 2016, Carolyn transitioned to DUKE GASTROENTEROLOGY OF RALEIGH, where they served as an Ambulatory Care Nurse II. Carolyn'sresponsibilities included providing pre/intra/post-operative care in an outpatient setting specializing in endoscopic procedures. Carolyn also assisted physicians during procedures, administered sedation, monitored vital signs, and educated patients about procedures and GI issues. In addition, they took on leadership roles as a co-chair of the Work Culture Committee and had charge nurse responsibilities.

Most recently, Carolyn joined Higgs Boson Health in 2021. Carolyn initially worked as an Implementation Manager, leading the implementation team and guiding healthcare practices through their digital health product journey. Carolyn then assumed the role of Director of Implementation, where they continue to utilize their clinical expertise to support customers.

Carolyn U. completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Nursing from Winston-Salem State University from 2016 to 2017. Prior to that, they obtained an Associate's Degree in Nursing from Wake Technical Community College, attending from 2010 to 2014. Carolyn'searliest degree is a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Consumer Economics from the University of Maryland, where they studied from 1986 to 1990. Furthermore, Carolyn U. holds the certification of Ambulatory Care Nursing (RN-BC) from the American Nurses Credentialing Center, which they obtained in February 2020.
