Irena Heiberger

Co-Founder & Advisor at High Fidelity

Irena Heiberger is a business executive and entrepreneur who has co-founded and held leadership positions at High Fidelity, CIBT, and Siren Systems.

Heiberger was born in Czechoslovakia and immigrated to the United States as a child. Irena studied mathematics and computer science at the University of California, Berkeley, earning their bachelor's degree in 1996.

After graduation, Heiberger worked as a software engineer for a number of startups before co-founding Siren Systems in 1998. Siren Systems was a provider of enterprise security software and was acquired by CIBT in 2000.

Heiberger stayed on with CIBT as Chief Operating Officer and led the company through a period of growth and expansion. In 2006, they were part of the team that recapitalized CIBT, taking it private again in a deal that generated a 4x return on investment for shareholders.

In 2007, Heiberger left CIBT to co-found High Fidelity, a virtual reality startup. As Chief Financial Officer and Board Director, they helped raise capital for the company and establish it as a leader in the VR space.

Heiberger is currently an advisor to High Fidelity and remains active in the VR community.

Irena Heiberger holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Harvard University and a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Marketing from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management.
