Kathleen Mooney

Kathleen Mooney has a diverse range of work experience in the field of mental health and substance abuse treatment. Kathleen is currently serving as the Clinical Director for the Section 35 inpatient unit at High Point Treatment Center, where they are responsible for program administration, clinical supervision, training, and providing evidence-based and trauma-informed care to adult patients. Prior to this role, they held the position of Clinical Director at High Point & Affiliated Organizations, where they were involved in similar responsibilities. From 2003 to 2022, Kathleen worked at Family Continuity as an LCSW, providing their expertise in social work within the organization. In 2012, they joined the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health (DMH) as the Partial Hospital Program Director, contributing to the development and management of the program until 2019. Earlier in their career at the Department of Mental Health, they worked as an Inpatient Social Worker and later as a Case Manager. Kathleen Mooney earned a Master's Degree in Social Work from Boston College between 2006 and 2009. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, spanning from 2000 to 2004.
