Francis Uy has extensive experience in the financial industry, particularly in investment and quantitative development. Francis began their career at GFI Group in 2001 as a Senior Java Developer and worked there until 2005. Francis then moved to Lehman Brothers and held the position of Senior Commodities Java Developer until 2008. Francis returned to GFI Group in 2008 as a Senior Java Developer and remained there until 2010. Francis then joined Barclays Capital as a Commodities US Power/Gas Flow Developer. In 2011, Francis joined Highbridge Capital Management as a VP/Software Developer for the Tactical Credit Desk. Francis later became a Java Application Developer and eventually the Head of Investment and Quantitative Development, leading a team responsible for developing research, portfolio, and analytics applications.
Francis Uy earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art. Francis attended the institution from 1994 to 1998.
