These previous experiences include working as a finance manager at Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) and Project On Government Oversight, as well as being the chief financial officer at Sophia Wireless, Inc. and director of publishing at Discovery Communications. Other notable education-related experiences include lead teacher coordinator at We Imagine, Inc., AmeriCorps Vista, Maryland-DC Campus Compact at AmeriCorps VISTA, student teacher at Upward Bound, classroom aide at St. Mary's County Public Schools, educational consultant at Advantage Testing, program coordinator at KEYPOINT ALLIANCE, tutor fellow at Hands On Atlanta, and site director at Global Tech Academy.
