Dr. Alex Alexandropoulos

Dr. Alex Alexandropoulos is an experienced IT faculty member at Higher Colleges of Technology since September 2009, focusing on undergraduate and MIT programs. Prior to this role, Dr. Alexandropoulos served as an Associate Professor of Information Technology at the American University in Dubai from August 2001 to August 2009. Additional professional experience includes a tenure as Development Manager at Ulysses Systems UK Ltd from September 1996 to August 2000, where Dr. Alexandropoulos oversaw the architecting and completion of strategic projects related to the International Safety & Management System. Earlier roles include occasional consulting and research assistance at UMIST from September 1994 to September 1998 and a position as a Software Engineer at DEM from September 1992 to September 1994. Dr. Alexandropoulos completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Enterprise Distributed Architectures, a Master of Science in Advanced Information Engineering, and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Computer Science, all from institutions within the UK.
