Aaron Ray

Aaron Ray has a diverse work experience that spans various organizations and roles. Aaron has served as President, President-Elect, Vice President, and Secretary at the Higher Education Opportunity Program Professional Organization. In these roles, they have been responsible for various tasks such as preparing and distributing meeting minutes, overseeing elections and appointments, and coordinating professional development workshops.

At Hamilton College, Aaron Ray worked as the Director of Opportunity Programs. Aaron'sresponsibilities included recruiting and hiring staff, developing and evaluating the summer program, and providing academic and personal support to students.

Aaron also served as a Podcast Co-Host for Opportunity on the Mic, where they provided a platform for first-generation students to share their stories and provide resources and advice.

In addition, Aaron Ray has been a Board Member for A Better Chance, where they contributed to recruiting new scholars and raising funds for the program. Aaron has also held various roles at the College Access Consortium of New York, including Vice Chair, Treasurer, and Vice Chair for Membership Development.

Furthermore, Aaron Ray has served as a Scholarship Application Reader for the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation, a College Access Fellow for Breakthrough Houston, and an Adjunct Instructor at Excelsior College.

Aaron has also been involved with the Fowler Camp and Retreat Center's Board of Trustees and the New York State Association for College Admission Counseling, where they were the Co-Chair of the ACCEPT Special Interest Group and a member of the 20/20 Vision Ad-Hoc Committee.

Aaron Ray completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies from Union College in the years 2006 to 2010. Aaron later pursued a Master of Science degree in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from Quinnipiac University from 2016 to 2017. Additionally, Aaron obtained certifications as a Cooke Foundation Reader from the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation in both 2019 and 2020.
