Volunteer Coordinator & Green Team Lead at Higher Ground

Bella Brodsky is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in sustainable agriculture, storytelling, and community engagement. Currently serving as a Farmer and Marketing Coordinator at Dandelion Farm, Bella employs regenerative methods to manage a small-scale farm distribution network. As a Filmmaker and Storyteller for Vermont Farm and Forest School, Bella contributes to creative storytelling efforts through short films supported by a USDA grant. Bella is the Founder and Creative Director of Sage Magazine, overseeing all aspects of publication and media. Additionally, Bella coordinates volunteers at Higher Ground’s outdoor concerts, co-chairs Slow Food UVM to promote equitable food systems, and has held various roles within educational and community garden initiatives. Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Food Systems at the University of Vermont, Bella has previously earned a Bachelor's degree in the same field.

Higher Ground is the premier music venue in the state of Vermont, providing entertainment nearly every night of the year. With two venues - The Ballroom, holding 750 and the Showcase Lounge, with a capacity of 300 - Higher Ground is able to accomodate everything from solo acoustic singer/songwriters to 20-piece funk bands. Consistently ranking among Pollstar's top 50 venues in the nation, the club is widely recognized for its professional staff and top-shelf treatment of bands and crews. First opened in 1998 in Winooski, then continuing at its current location, Higher Ground has hosted small local bands, comedy performances, movies, political fundraisers and even a GWAR-themed wedding, in addition to presenting some of the biggest touring acts out there today.
