Bruce Umbaugh

Bruce Umbaugh has been a prominent figure at Webster University since 1994, serving as Chair of the Philosophy Department, Director of the Global Citizenship Program, Professor, and Associate Dean. Additionally, Bruce has contributed as a Peer Reviewer for the Higher Learning Commission since October 2017, focusing on accreditation processes. Active in the Association for General and Liberal Studies since May 2017, Bruce has held roles including Council Member, President, and Past President. Commitment to various organizations is evident through support for the Electronic Frontier Foundation and participation in MOBIO Board events and The Well. Education includes a MA and PhD in Philosophy from the University of Maryland and an AB in Philosophy from Ohio University.
