Elizabeth E. Stevens

Elizabeth E. "Betty" Stevens has extensive experience in higher education and accreditation, currently serving as Team Chair for the Higher Learning Commission since 1995, leading evaluations of colleges and universities. Concurrently, Stevens operates as a self-employed higher education consultant, advising on accreditation and quality issues. Previous roles include Special Consultant to Kansas State University, Associate Dean of Continuing Education at Highland Community College, and Dean of Instruction at both Northern Wyoming Community College District and Pratt Community College. Stevens began their career as an instructor in speech, drama, and theatre, contributing to curriculum development and academic administration. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Theatre and Media Arts and a Master's degree in Speech and Drama from Kansas State University.
