Benjamina Bollag

Benjamina Bollag has worked in a variety of roles in the tech and engineering industries. In 2011, they began working at Firmenich in the Research and Development - Synthesis department, where they synthesized new molecules with potential applications to perfumery and flavouring. In 2013, they interned at Stratasys in the Chemistry research department, where they were part of a team that solved a solidification problem in their additive manufacturing materials, saving over $100k per year. In 2014, they worked at PepsiCo as a Digital Marketing employee, where they initiated the digital marketing division and built a data base for different platforms of digital marketing. Benjamina was also the Vice Chair of Alumni Of the Chemical Engineering Society at Imperial College London. In 2015, they were the Lead Developer at Unibuddy, where they redesigned and improved customer experience on the website with Ruby on Rails in the backend and React JS on the front end. Additionally, they were the Co-Founder of My Modulit, a website which enables students to rate and comment on modules they've chosen and connect with students who have taken the course. In 2017, they were the Founder and CEO of HigherSteaks, a website, and an Entrepreneur In Residence at Entrepreneur First, the world's leading Deep Tech accelerator.

Benjamina Bollag attended International School of Geneva - La Grande Boissière from 1997 to 2012, where they obtained an International Baccalaureate. Benjamina then attended Imperial College London from 2012 to 2016, where they obtained a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Chemical Engineering. In 2015, they attended Makers Academy for a Web Developer Bootcamp.
