John Young

John Young has worked in various finance roles throughout their career. John began in 1993 as a Senior Manager at Scottish & Newcastle PLC, where they worked until 2004. John then moved on to the Bank of Scotland Corporate Division, where they served as a Director from 2004 to 2009. Following that, they worked as the Group Finance Director at G1 Group PLC from 2009 to 2012. John then worked as a Business Consultant for various small businesses from 2012 to 2013. From 2013 to 2016, they held the positions of Regional Finance Manager, Europe, and Finance Director at Harkand. John then worked as the Finance Director at Andrews Survey from 2016 to 2017. John joined Dawnfresh Seafoods Ltd in 2017 as their Finance Director and remained in this role until 2023. In 2022, they briefly worked as the Finance Director at Bruichladdich Distillery Company Ltd. Currently, they hold the position of Group Finance Director at Highland Spring Ltd, starting in 2023.

John Young attended St John's High School in Dundee. John then went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Accountancy & Computer Science from Heriot Watt University, which they completed between 1989 and 1993. Afterward, they pursued further education at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland, where they obtained the designation of Chartered Accountant from 1993 to 1996.
