Betsy Whalen

Betsy Whalen is an experienced education industry leader with a robust career spanning multiple high-level positions. Currently serving as Senior Vice President at Highlights for Children, Betsy previously held key roles at Renaissance Learning as Senior Vice President of Services and Support, and at Nearpod as Vice President of Services & Operations. Betsy has also contributed significantly to McGraw Hill, Engrade, Kno, Inc., Edmodo, and Discovery Education in various executive capacities. With a background that includes teaching at the District of Columbia Public Schools, Betsy holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Economics from Boston College and a Master’s in Education from American University.
