Steve Derr is a seasoned graphic design professional with extensive experience in educational publishing and design management. Currently serving as Reading Design Manager at Highlights for Children since April 2023, Steve has previously held the position of Senior Graphic Design/Production Specialist at Zaner-Bloser from October 2010 to April 2023, focusing on textbook design, layout, and production management. Prior roles include Assistant Graphic Designer at McGraw-Hill Education and various positions at the McGraw-Hill Companies, where responsibilities spanned page production and graphic design for higher education materials across multiple subjects. Steve's early career includes roles as a Freelance Graphic Designer, Contract Graphic Designer, and Digital Prepress specialist, complemented by a BFA in New Art and Technology from The Ohio State University and an Associate's degree in Graphic Design from Mount St. Joseph University.
