Amy Carlson

Amy Carlson is an experienced education leader currently serving as Principal of Highline Virtual Academy at Highline Public Schools since July 2021. Prior to this role, Amy held positions as Assistant Principal at Shorewood Elementary and as Personalized Learning Manager and Blended Learning Specialist at Highline Public Schools, where responsibilities included supporting teachers in blended learning practices and leading professional development initiatives. Additional experience includes serving as an Educator at Cascade Middle School, where Amy implemented technology integration and facilitated a 1:1 device program. Early career roles included Program Director and Education Director at Boys and Girls Clubs of King County. Amy holds a Bachelor's degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Washington State University, a Master's in Education from City University of Seattle, and an Administrative Certification from the University of Washington Tacoma.
