Beth O'Connell

Beth O'Connell has a diverse work experience history. Beth has worked as a Junior Java Engineer at HighRoads since 2023. Prior to that, they volunteered at Belfast Health and Social Care Trust and Volunteer Now & Volunteer Now Enterprises as a Volunteer and Event Volunteer respectively in 2022. In 2022, they also worked as a Software Developer at Citi. From 2021 to 2023, they served as a Consultant at FDM Group. Before that, they worked at Circular1 Health as a Senior Laboratory Technician and Laboratory Technician, where they handled tasks related to COVID-19 testing and coordinated laboratory activities. In 2020, they were a Higher Laboratory Scientist at SRUC, where they worked on veterinary disease surveillance. From 2016 to 2019, they worked as a Higher Scientific Officer at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), with a focus on greenhouse gas inventory and climate science. Beth also has experience working as a Senior Research Laboratory Technician and Laboratory Assistant at the University of Cambridge in the field of geochemistry. Beth has also volunteered as a First Aider at St John Ambulance.

Beth O'Connell attended the University of Cambridge from 2010 to 2014, where they completed their MSci degree in Natural Sciences. Prior to that, Beth also obtained their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge, which they completed from 2010 to 2013.
