Liping Liu

Liping Liu has extensive work experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Liping is the Founder, CEO, and CSO of HighTide Therapeutics, a company focused on discovering and developing therapeutics for chronic liver diseases, gastrointestinal diseases, and metabolic disorders. Liping also founded and held the same role at Shenzhen HighTide Biopharmaceutical Ltd. Prior to that, they were the General Manager at ABLE Biopharmaceutical, the Director of R&D at Stealth BioTherapeutics, and worked in translation research and proteomics at ATCC. Liping began their career as a Senior Manager of R&D at MannKind Corporation.

Liping Liu's education history includes a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Nankai University, completed between 1986 and 1994. Liping then pursued a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Biochemistry at the University of Toronto from 1995 to 2000. Later, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Life Sciences from The Johns Hopkins University between 2006 and 2009.
